House of Grace Studios takes its name from Bethesda — a Hebrew word meaning "house of loving kindness." It's the name of a pool in Jerusalem where, in John 5, a man who had been unable to walk for thirty-eight years waited, along with many others, hoping for healing. Jesus came to that place — not the temple, not a place already full of the faithful — and met the man exactly where he was, offering Himself as the healing he'd been waiting for.

That's the model for everything House of Grace Studios exists to do. Film and media are where people already are — searching, waiting, hoping for something to change. My aim isn't just to make good films. It's to go to that same kind of place, the way Jesus did, and offer people the same hope He offered at Bethesda. House of Grace Studios is the house that hope gets made in.
